Lucy Diluncurkan untuk Pelajari Asteroid Trojan

Florida - NASA meluncurkan pesawat ruang angkasa Lucy. Dalam misi 12 tahun, Lucy akan mempelajari asteroid Trojan Jupiter dan mengumpulkan pengetahuan tentang tata surya.

Lucy menjadi pesawat ruang angkasa bertenaga surya pertama yang menjelajah begitu jauh dari matahari dan mengamati lebih banyak asteroid.

Lucy akan mempelajari asteroid Trojan Jupiter dan mengumpulkan pengetahuan baru tentang pembentukan tata surya.

Pada perjalanan tahun 2025, Lucy akan bertemu dengan asteroid Donaldjhanson di sabuk utama antara Mars dan Jupiter. Kemudian antara tahun 2027 dan 2033, pesawat itu akan bertemu dengan tujuh asteroid Trojan.

Penamaan Lucy berasal dari kerangka fosil manusia yang ditemukan di Ethiopia pada 1974. Kerangka fosil Lucy memberikan wawasan penting mengenai evolusi manusia.
