Paris - Perusahaan bioteknologi Interstellar Labs membuat kapsul canggih untuk bercocok tanam. Kapsul itu nantinya bisa digunakan di Planet Mars.

Biopod terinspirasi oleh teknologi luar angkasa untuk menawarkan sistem produksi yang tertutup rapat, terlindung dari kondisi cuaca dan musim. Alat ini dapat diterapkan dengan cepat dan tidak memerlukan fondasi atau akses ke air. Di dalamnya, kombinasi teknologi memastikan keseimbangan kondisi iklim (suhu, CO2, kelembapan), nutrisi (nutrisi, konsentrasi, irigasi, pH) dan cahaya (intensitas, fotosintesis, dan fotoperiodisme). Ini juga mencakup perangkat lunak manajemen dan pemantauan berbasis AI, serta layanan pengisian ulang.

Interstellar Labs juga baru-baru ini menandatangani kemitraan dengan L'Oreal's Green Sciences dengan harapan dapat menggunakan Biopod untuk mengembangkan sumber tanaman yang berkelanjutan dan mengurangi jejak karbon untuk transportasi. Perusahaan bioteknologi tersebut berencana menjual setiap unitnya seharga $350.000 setelah dikomersialkan.
