Berusia 1.000 Tahun, Mumi Ini Kondisinya Masih Utuh

Peru - Sebuah mumi dalam keadaan yang tidak biasa ditemukan di Cajamarquilla, di dekat ibu kota Peru, Lima. Mumi itu ditemukan dalam kondisi masih baik.

Sebuah mumi dari tahun 800-1200 M dipajang di Universitas San Marcos di Lima, Peru, Selasa (7/12/2021).

Seperti dikutip dari CNN, mumi tersebut seluruh badannya terikat dengan tali, kemudian telapak tangannya menutupi bagian wajahnya. Sedangkan usia mumi diperkirakan antara 800 sampai 1.200 tahun yang lalu, sebelum munculnya peradaban Inca di abad ke-15.

Lalu kenapa mumi ini terikat dan wajahnya tertutup tangannya sendiri? Ilmuwan menyatakan hal itu adalah kebiasaan penguburan jenazah pada zaman itu.
