Isu BlackBerry Tempel Trending Topic iPhone OS 4.0

Jakarta - Sistem operasi iPhone versi 4.0 yang baru saja dirilis Apple menjadi trending topic di Twitter. Begitu pun dengan pesaingnya, BlackBerry, yang juga tak kalah heboh gara-gara pesan berantainya.

iPhone OS 4.0 langsung menjadi topik hangat begitu Apple mengumumkan ketersediaan upgrade sistem operasi terbarunya yang menawarkan banyak fitur baru. Salah satunya ialah fitur multitasking yang sudah lama ditunggu-tunggu.

Namun yang tak kalah serunya dibahas para tweetizens ialah rumor tentang fitur chatting BlackBerry Messenger alias BBM, yang katanya akan dinonaktifkan oleh Research in Motion selaku prinsipal BlackBerry. Begini isi pesan berantainya:

This message is to inform all of our users, that our servers have recently been
really full, so we are asking for your help to fix this problem. We need our active
users to re-send this message to everyone on your contact list inorder to confirm
our active users that use BlackBerry Messenger, if you do not send this message to
all your BlackBerry Messenger contacts then your account will remain inactive with
the consequence of losing all your contacts.

Isu ini sebenarnya tak masuk di akal. Namun tetap saja banyak yang menyebar pesan ini ke mana-mana. Banyak pengguna BlackBerry yang mengeluh di Twitter karena kebanjiran pesan berantai itu.

"Stop ur broadcasts please!!! coz that inactive user BBM website doesn't even exist. Its obviously not true!!! Thank you," demikian pesan yang banyak di re-tweet oleh para Tweeps yang merasa, "Sangat terganggu dengan broadcast message inactive user di BBM. jangan kirim ke gw. please!"
