Barcelona - Di akhir pagelarannya, Mobile World Congress 2012 memilih produk dan vendor terbaik untuk memperebutkan Global Mobile Awards. Dari sejumlah kategori, bisa dibilang Samsung dan Google menjadi bintang acara. Tak terkecuali Angry Birds dan WhatsApp.

Samsung dan Google sukses meraih multiple award. Di antaranya adalah kategori inovasi di mobile advertising yang disabet Google Wallet dan best consumer mobile service untuk Google Maps for Android.

Sementara Samsung bertahta dalam kategori best smartphone yang disabet Galaxy S II, serta manufaktur device terbaik yang juga digondol Samsung. Sayang, hasil ini gagal disempurnakan untuk kategori tablet PC terbaik yang direbut Apple iPad 2.

Seakan menantang para raksasa, Rovio juga mengukir prestasi. Ya, apalagi jika bukan melalui Angry Birds yang didaulat sebagai best mobile app untuk consumer. Sementara WhatsApp terpilih sebagai favorit para juri untuk kategori best overall mobile app.
