Ilmuwan Jepang Bikin Lengan Robot Mirip 'Doctor Octopus'

Tim Inami sedang mengembangkan serangkaian teknologi yang berakar pada gagasan "jizai", sebuah istilah Jepang yang menunjukkan otonomi dan kebebasan untuk melakukan apa yang diinginkan. Oleh karena itu ia menamakan robot buatannya sebagai 'Jizai Arms.'

Inami mengatakan, dirinya terinspirasi oleh boneka tradisional Jepang dan cerita pendek semi-horor karya novelis Yasunari Kawabata tentang pria yang meminjam lengan seorang wanita muda dan mulai menghabiskan malam bersamanya.
